Facts without emotional context? No, no, no.

When you teach people, you can’t teach them mere facts that’s stripped of emotional context, because that would make it hard for people to act on what they learn. Facts are meaningless until we see them in emotional context so that we can start to make sense of them.

That’s why planting stories is important, especially when you’re presenting dry facts.

The trick is, the story does not have to be an elaborate one. It just has to engage the learner emotionally because it’s either familiar, relatable, or amusing. In that way, the learner can make sense of the dry facts, and form an opinion.
